Our Story
Design Trendz was simply an idea in 1999 when Joshua Morrow began his journey working as a helper for a flooring installer. In 2002, Josh went on his own, working for himself under the name Carpet Medic. He contracted with various local flooring companies in Spokane, Washington before settling with a company that held a contract with a large home improvement store in 2008.
Through hard work, Josh quickly proved his professionalism, attention to detail, and the importance of meeting the wants and needs of his customers. Thus, he landed the title of lead installer.
After 10 years of holding his position, he realized that the corporate aspect of the business left him in very little control of what really makes the customer happy.
Knowing that renovations are naturally stressful to customers, Josh understand that it is not just the end result that makes clients happy, it’s the entire process that satisfies customers and makes lasting connections. He knows the only way to control the entire process is to expand the company and offer customers something that the big box stores can’t, personal touch.
Josh believes that it’s not just about the end result or beating the competitor. Instead, it’s about the experience—a memorable one. It was through this belief that Design Trends was established.
